Optikk 30A was delighted to host another successful Pause for Paws event on Saturday, August 20th at our optical boutique in Redfish Village. Local yoga instructor and fellow animal enthusiast, Michelle Harley, donated her time, as she has done many times before, and lead us through a relaxing and rejuvenating class benefiting a cause that is near and dear to my heart, Dog-Harmony. A special thank you to sowal.com for capturing pictures of our event!
At Optikk 30A we are passionate about eye health, fashionable eyewear, and giving back to our community. Saturday marked the fifth Pause for Paws event Optikk 30A has hosted and it the turnout was excellent with it being our largest class thus far. In total, our Paws for Paws yoga classes have raised an estimated $600 for our furry friends! Join us Saturday, September 24th at 9:00 am, for our next Pause for Paws event, and help us reach a goal of over $1,000 in donations. All proceeds from the event go directly to Dog-Harmony, a local non-profit organization that provides education to foster safe interactions and long-term relationships between people and dogs.
In the wake of the floods devastating parts of Louisiana, Optikk 30A served as a drop-off location for locals who could donate food, clothing and home goods to send over to our friends in need. If you would like to contribute to those in need in Louisiana, please join us and Dog-Harmony on Wednesday, August 24th at Furry Fanatics for a fun filled YAPPY Hour from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. All proceeds will go to help our furry friends to the west at Denham Springs Animal Control, the only no-kill facility in Louisiana. Their facility was a complete loss and they are in dire need of funds to become operational.
The support and sense of community here on 30A is overwhelming. At Optikk 30A we are proud to provide such a strong and united community with comprehensive eye care, emergency services, same day service and fabulous eyewear.
